Quick checklist

Now we can kick things off with a number of important tasks you should carry out before beginning the setup process. By completing the checklist below, you can ensure a smooth and hassle-free Launcher installation.

On-screen keyboard

To ensure the OSK (On-screen keyboard) shows on the display while using the solution, you must ensure the appropriate setting is in place.

Windows admin

To install the solution, a Windows admin user with elevated privileges is required. However, the same admin user account can be used to install the solution in multiple meeting rooms.

Don’t worry, the admin user details won’t be needed after setup. If you require more info, you can check out this support doc:

Room mailbox

By being present in every meeting room, our Call + App Launching solution helps create a consistent and reliable meeting experience. To ensure this, each installation of the software should be assigned an individual room calendar.

This prevents the same meeting invitation from appearing in multiple rooms simultaneously. For optimal results, it's recommended to assign the same room resource and video conference platform to each room.

Video conference apps

Whether it’s Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet or one of the many options available, you can enable one-touch meetings by having a dedicated user account set up and logged in for each meeting room.

Some customers simply install their preferred app but don’t sign in. Doing this results in the ‘Guest Mode’ for calls. This ‘Guest Mode’ prompts users to enter their name at the beginning of each call and may result in the restricted ‘Guest Mode’ functionality.

With our Call + App Launching solution, meeting room attendees can effortlessly launch applications directly from the home screen interface, known within our solution as 'Shortcuts'.
