Miracast

Available on many Windows and Android devices, Miracast offers a quick and easy way to wirelessly cast your screen without the need for a specific app. It’s ideal for presentations, sharing content, and real-time collaboration.

Cast your Windows 11 device

Before connecting, you’ll need to check the following:
  1. Miracast Available + Enabled
    To enable Miracast on your main display, go to Settings > Networks & Connections and toggle the Miracast receiver. Don’t see this option? Your display may not support Miracast connections and we’d recommend contacting your display provider.
  2. Device Compatibility
    Your Windows device must support Miracast. Most modern devices do, but it's always good to check. Additionally, your PC should have Wi-Fi enabled and be up to date with the latest Windows version.
  3. Connect to the Same Network
    Ensure both your device and the main display are on the same Wi-Fi network .

To Start Casting
  1. Open Cast Panel
    Use the shortcut Windows + K to quickly open the Cast panel.
  2. Connect to Main Display
    To connect, simply select the name of your main display (App name - Session ID) from the available list.
  3. Casting Options
    Once connected, you can toggle whether to allow mouse, keyboard, touch, and pen input from the device (touchback), and choose how to cast - Duplicate, Extend, or Second screen only.

Once you cast your screen, it will instantly appear on the main display. However, if "Moderator Mode" is enabled, you join the session as a participant and your screen is only shown if you're invited to share.

To Stop Casting
  1. Open Cast Panel
    Use Windows + K to access the Cast panel again.
  2. Disconnect
    Click on the Disconnect button at the bottom of the panel to disconnect your device from the session.

  • Ensure your Windows device has a Wi-Fi adapter that supports Miracast.

  • The main display must also support Miracast. If not, you can use a Miracast adapter plugged into the HDMI port.

  • Keep your device's drivers updated, especially graphics and Wi-Fi drivers, to ensure the best Miracast experience.
