This Spring, our focus turns to expanding our existing functionality and creating frictionless experiences when connecting and casting in a session. We’re improving the consistency across our joining methods, ensuring however you want to join, you have access to the functionality you need.

Extended Grid for even more collaboration

Extended Grid is a key enhancement in our latest release, expanding on our existing Grid View functionality by supporting up to 9 screens at once. This 3 by 3 layout allows for up to 9 participants to share and collaborate in real-time, making it ideal for larger groups to exchange insights and engage more effectively.

To enable Extended Grid, simply go to 'Session Management' in the Settings on your main display and turn it on. This feature also boosts the lobby's capacity to 9 participants while supporting any way that participants connect, including native casting options like AirPlay or Miracast.

Any participant can be viewed using Grid View and all the great features are still available, allowing you to go fullscreen on any shared screen to take a closer look at the content or hear any audio that's being shared.

Don’t see Grid View on your Home screen?
Grid View automatically appears on your Home screen, just below the lobby, when Moderator Mode is enabled. To access Grid View, with or without the Extended Grid feature—simply turn on Moderator Mode first by going to Settings > Session Management. Once Moderator Mode is enabled, you have the option to turn on Extended Grid.

Share audio from mobile app

We’re delighted to announce audio will now be shared alongside their videos when using our iOS and Android apps. We’re dedicated to improving the consistency in our joining methods and bringing audio to mobile sharing is an important step towards this.

Now, you can share content from your mobile device quickly, with confidence that you and your audience are getting the complete sharing experience.

Multiple Miracast connections

To encourage greater collaboration, we’ve expanded our Miracast offering. Moving beyond the single-connection limit, we’re now enabling multiple Miracast devices to connect simultaneously.

Native casting holds enormous benefits for users that want quick, convenient sharing with no app installation or sign in required. With multiple Miracast, we’re ensuring all users can connect and cast in the way that suits them.

What is Miracast?
Miracast enables wireless streaming of video and audio from one device to another. Developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance, this innovative technology facilitates seamless connectivity among Miracast-certified devices, irrespective of manufacturer or network.

Who can use Miracast?
To enable Miracast on your main display, go to Settings > Networks & Connections and toggle the "Miracast receiver.” Don’t see this option? Your display may not support Miracast connections. We recommend contacting your display provider or head over to Ways to Connect > Miracast for more information.

Please note, the availability of features in this version may be impacted by hardware compatibility and will only be accessible on supported devices. For further information or if you encounter any issues, we recommend checking with your screen manufacturer.
