Your screensaver is no longer just a placeholder, it’s now a dynamic communication surface. With version 2.3, you can turn any web link into a living screensaver, transforming meeting rooms into always-on hubs for information, updates, and culture.

Display live dashboards, internal comms pages, KPI trackers, SharePoint sites, HR updates, or even company videos. If it runs on the web, you can surface it instantly, including content already managed through your digital signage web player.

The result is a meeting space that feels more connected, more informative, and more aligned with how your organization communicates in real time. Every room becomes a channel for clarity, insight, and brand.

To use web links as screensavers, head to Settings - Display and you’ll find the option to add as many web links as you need. When more than one is entered, you’ll be able to customize the wait time and interval time of the screensaver carousel.

Note: Any web content that requires interaction or sign-in will not be compatible with this version of screensaver.

Built-in Whiteboard, No Accounts, No Barriers

Brainstorming shouldn’t require a login screen, this release now includes a built-in whiteboard that teams can access instantly, just tap the shortcut, start sketching, and collaborate freely.

No Microsoft account required, no personal data left behind.

Users can draw, discuss, save their board, and walk away with confidence that the room is clean and ready for the next team. It’s the fastest way to capture ideas, perfect for stand-ups, workshops, or any meeting that needs space to think.

Whiteboard can be found in the app section of the Shortcut Settings where you’ll find a separate section called ‘built-in apps’.
